    My time at the UK Lab of Linden although employed indirectly as a contractor and only for a short 10 months, was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career so far. Working within such a dynamic team was both great fun and motivating. The Linden ethos as filtered down by Philip Rosedale our illustrious leader, were those of self-empowerment and a flat lying organisational structure. Indeed, the operating ideas, motivation methods and rewards were quite ‘out there’ of there time (these days, one will find similar at most other large SNC’s; Google, Facebook head offices etc.) I refer to the other review above, and can only comment on my own experience which was that I found Gender equality to be quite neutral in the UK Office certainly?… The environment was entirely hierarchical in general and a true team feel. I don’t believe any organisation ‘encourages’ salary discussions?…. The overall view was that we were aware that we were all earning what we perceived to be very well indeed. But then us Brits tend to find such things rather Passe anyhoo! On the closure of the UK Lab some years back – my cohorts found themselves head hunted by other Game builders and SNC market leaders such were their abilities.
