Never seen a company that was able to attract so much talent, however they never were able to retain any. Bullying does exist to get your way thru – even with the HR if you were to approach them. Upper management is the issue.
What happened to the InMobi promise? Even if it were to be rolled out how many InMobians who joined before 2014 would be there out of the 1000 or so that InMobi started with in 2014 as eligible for InMobi promise?

Looks flashy but, at the end of the day it is about the work you are given, how your works at least 1% of the time fits into the companys bigger picture and the respect you are treated with; the tools you are given to work with.

Loved the colleagues, fell for the flashy benefits, but they have a long way to go.

Despite wide expansion in many countries cultural diversity was not understood. If your were not Indian located in India in the founders inner circle there was no chance for promotion. There was a shoot first ask questions later firing people in other countries which was largely a reflection of a lack of understanding rather than performance. Salarys were difficult for anyone outside India.. market rates of mature countries hard to maintain and always fearful your job would be replaced by cheaper Indian roles. Would not recommend without significantly senior leadership or cultural changes.

It was a challenging environment to work in. Upper management struggles for power and limited technology on the back end. I don’t recommend working at Inmobi.

I worked at Inmobi for 2 years. I loved most of my coworkers who I consider to be some of the greatest and smartest people I’ve worked with. The pay is pretty good and depending on what department you are in, there is opportunity for growth.

My major issue with Inmobi is was with Upper Management and above. Upper management tended to be aggressive and cut throat in trying to be promoted and meet their unrealistic goals. Over time it became clear that the founders applied so much pressure to them causing the culture rift. The founders are clueless as to other regions and what goals/expectations to set. There were a number of HR issues that I faced and witnessed while employed at Inmobi, including sexual harassment, employees being threatened by higher ups and in general incidents with cause for termination being glossed over. U.S. HR representatives tend to quit after a few months – they are asked to do a number of unethical and sometimes illegal things from global HR. Hope things improved but I would not recommend based on my prior employment.

I was only at InMobi for one year. It was a brand new company, and I was brand new to the industry, so at the time there was an enormously steep learning curve and a lot of hiccups/bugs to work around (because it was still in infancy stage). Thus, I felt like I was not acknowledged for my hard work, nor was I given work that challenged me. By the time I had received a promotion I had already found a better job at another company. The company came a long way in the year I was there, though, for the better, and it seems the company continues to grow and has become a great place to work (so I hear from my contacts who are still there).
