When WomenHack launched in Silicon Valley just two years ago, we had one goal: connect talented women in tech with employers who valued them. Today, we’re proud to announce we’ve expanded to 120 cities worldwide—and we’re just getting started.
From Experiment to Movement
WomenHack began as a single experimental event. The format was simple: speed interviews that put candidates and companies on equal footing, in an environment designed for authentic connection rather than intimidation.
The response was immediate. Candidates loved the format. Employers made hires. Word spread.
“We started off from one experimental event,” recalls Samantha Boivin, Event Director. “Branching out to a few cities, and now to 120 cities across multiple continents.”
Where We Are Now
WomenHack events now happen across:
North America
Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Vancouver, Boston, New York, Washington D.C., and more.
Europe
London, Zurich, Munich, Madrid, Amsterdam, Dublin, and expanding.
Latin America
Buenos Aires, São Paulo, and growing presence across the region.
Why This Growth Matters
Our expansion reflects both supply and demand:
Candidates Want Options
Women in tech are tired of traditional recruiting. They want face-to-face conversations with employers, honest assessments of culture, and efficient paths to opportunity.
Employers Need Talent
The talent shortage is real. Companies that can’t build diverse teams fall behind. WomenHack provides access to qualified candidates that job postings don’t reach.
The Model Works
Our speed-interview format generates results. Employers make hires. Candidates find opportunities. Both sides come back.
What Makes WomenHack Different
Curated Events
We don’t just open doors. We vet employers for genuine diversity commitment. We ensure candidates are qualified. Quality on both sides creates valuable connections.
Efficient Format
Five-minute conversations may seem brief, but they’re enough to establish interest. Multiple rotations mean multiple connections per event. The format respects everyone’s time.
Community Beyond Events
WomenHack is more than job fairs. We’re building a community of women in tech who support each other throughout their careers.
