I worked here in 2011 and I was pregnant. I wasn’t very happy with the reality of maternity leave benefits I was expected back to work a month after I had my child on a mid day shift level. Which was unrealistic. Other than that I was very fortunate to have worked under two very supportive supervisors that did all they could to make sure I was comfortable mentally and physically.
The training program is hands down one of the best programs out there if they can get rid of the monthly quotas and sales and let customer service be truly customer service woth set hours of 6 am to 5 pm this would be a great entry level job

Verizon is a good company due to the fact pay and benefits are competitive. As a female wanting to advance you need to be prepared to play with the “Good ‘ol Boys”! As a female the only advancement opportunities given were under female directors in a nonunion district. I was passed over for less experienced male counterpart with a less successful career record as soon as a male director took over. I am forever grateful for all I learned and experienced with Verizon.
