I worked at Teespring before the first “restructuring” – The teams are very cliquey and men/boys are given the ears of the “upper management”. Lots of gossiping and secrets and not any organization in teams or responsibilities. They ended up firing most of the Providence office because they didn’t see the “value” of our teams (production, customer service & account management – Basically the most important teams!)

No grudges anymore, but at the time I remember feeling very betrayed as I was one of the first 30 employees and I poured my heart and soul (and many many hours) into this company.

I also agree with the previous reviewers, It’s a very Bro culture.

    Supportive Culture

    Family Friendly

It’s a bro culture where a lot of the employees were college friends of the founders and they’re not held to the same standards of performance as the rest of the company. There are little to no women in senior leadership and there are no paths for growth or success for women – let alone anyone. Strong women do not do well at Teespring – the ones who do well are the ones who play the game and don’t have an opinion and do what they’re told. They do have an insanely high bar when it comes to the talent they do hire who aren’t friends, but they do not consider opinions that are outside of the hive mind. The majority of the company is men, 25-35, and there’s an echo-chamber as a result. There’s no support structure for employees having internal problems, however they are flexible with work hours and WFH, but that entirely depends on your manager. A lot of the key talent has left and or is in the process of leaving.

  3. Equal Pay

    Career Advancement

    Supportive Culture

    Family Friendly

I worked at Teespring over a year ago and the culture was not family friendly and was
heavily bro- influenced: most of the events focused on drinking and drugs. The majority of employees were college friends of the founders. There was not a lot of regard for work/life balance (with the founder insisting people stayed after 7pm and came in on the weekends to work). 95% of the employees were men around the age of 25-28; there was not a lot of diversity nor room for constructive feedback. There was only one woman in leadership at the time leading up HR, I see they’ve finally promoted her to VP. Hopefully, it’s changed since then.
