Other applications let posters use mobile devices and even call in posts as well as send updates to Twitter and Facebook. Tumblr is considered a micro-blogging site by many since users' posts tend to be shorter than standard blogs though there is no character limit. The company was formed in 2007; investors include Spark Capital, Union Square Ventures, Sir Richard Branson, and Sequoia Capital.
