  1. Equal Pay

    Career Advancement

    Supportive Culture

    Family Friendly

I worked in on the Inside Sales Team. While I can’t speak to equal pay (there was no transparency in this), I can speak to the culture.

This was an extremely unsupportive culture. The training was almost non existent. The teams were extremely young and there was a lot of “partying” in the office. Leadership was non directive and embraced the party culture rather than promoting professionalism in the work place. I often witnessed folks binge drinking in the office and relying heavily on inbound leads to stay afloat. If you were not immediately successful, you were pushed out instead of invested in more. I saw many individuals get fired for this and also because the company direction was not in line with their positions any longer. Turn over is very high.

The business model is also very shady. I saw many companies that worked hard for their seed money invest in ad placement through Tapjoy that had their funds depleted in mere hours. It is not a great place to work if you like to feel good about the job that you do. The manipulation of the app-store is sketchy and I’m surprised that they have not been shut down for bad business practices. One only has to consult the BBB to understand that their business model is seedy at best.

There are a few gems that work there (read: employees).

  4. Equal Pay

    Career Advancement

    Supportive Culture

    Family Friendly

I am very passionate about women’s rights and equality in tech; after graduating from university in 2010, I was surprised to feel inequality in the profession I chose. At Tapjoy on the other hand, I personally did not feel inequality in the slightest. I was given equal pay and equal opportunity; often recognized for my accomplishments and encouraged to look forward in progressing my career. I feel honored to have worked at Tapjoy and believe the environment of respect and ingenuity comes from the top down.
