Pivotal while attempting to be supportive and improve often makes it impossible to advance your career or feel accepted by your coworkers. Switching teams often means that you’re now working with people who don’t know or respect your skills. Pairing opens you up to microagressions constantly. Moreover, it is nearly impossible to advance your career because you will only ever get put on projects where you can demonstrate your existing skills rather than improve the ones you need for advancement.

Experience can vary by office, but mine has been nothing but supportive. The leadership is equal for the office itself (as a company leadership is largely male dominated). Pay is great.
Career advancement is tricky as the company is pretty flat but leadership is supportive in helping you grow technically.

Pivotal is making surface-level efforts to appear more diversity-friendly, but the leadership is still almost exclusively white males, and the unconscious biases against women make it difficult to be successful.
