The company's NexTag.com operates a proprietary price comparison technology that lets more than 30 million online shoppers per month compare prices of millions of products and services sold through online stores, small businesses, and individuals. The company also owns product reviews site Wize. NexTag has international editions of its site in the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain. The company was founded in 1999 by Stanford graduates Purnendu Ojha (chairman) and Rafael Ortiz. Providence Equity Partners is an investor, having acquired a two-thirds stake for $830 million in 2007.
