I have worked for KForce as an IT contractor in healthcare. They take too much of the billable rate for themselves when all they do is payroll and some administrative services. The people are nice but they don’t check in with you and when the client is ready to cut the contract, you get no advance notice and no active assistance to find the next contract.

I worked in IT. They provided training for the men even if it was out of their area. The men fought tooth and nail to preserve systems as is rather than make improvements.

I had a temp placement through KForce for 3.5 years. I interviewed for the job after having been out of work. After I got the job, the pay rate went down $2.50/hour. My boss and I talked, and it was not requested by the company. It was KForce trying to low ball me.
During the second year, KForce forgot to take city taxes out of my paycheck. When I figured it out, they told me I was probably okay because the city didn’t know.
My boss was very unimpressed that they waited over 6 months to check on how I was doing.
I have no idea how they treat women as compared to men, but my experience was employees in general were not treated well.

Speaking from the perspective of a woman and a minority, I could not in good conscience recommend women like me to work at Kforce Government Solutions. There was little diversity in the top rungs and I do believe there was a blatant and almost appalling difference in the treatment of some lower level female employees versus the male employees. This was usually reflected in the top-down interactions with senior males and more junior employees. Senior to senior interactions seemed far more equitable. I’ve worked with military, law enforcement environments with alpha males for my entire career, more than two decades, and I’ve dealt with all kinds of issues, subtle and overt. But this is the first time I found it intolerable.

With that said, they do have good pay, benefits, and bonuses if you’re engaged in business development work. If you’re senior/executive level, you may do well there. Junior level should probably look elsewhere.

I was a hired for only a couple short jobs through KForce. I couldn’t say if it had equal pay, but I was paid what I felt was appropriate. I was only doing a couple short jobs, so there was no career advancement directly with them, but the work I did helped my resume to show more tech work, which led to better jobs. I didn’t have family to worry about, but I had the option to accept or not accept the short jobs, which means if I had something happening with family I could have not accepted one of the assignments and waited for the next opportunity.

The KForce team was great though, and I enjoyed the couple times I worked with them. I was treated as a knowledgeable professional, which is of the utmost importance to me.
