Long hours assumed, remote employees are frowned upon, most leads are men (there are a few executive staff employees who are women but intermediate management is mostly male), men get promoted at far greater rates, women are underpaid despite what the Gusto diversity guide says (men and women in the same position with the same level of experience do not get paid the same– the men tend to make $10,000 more or so in many cases).

Gusto couldn’t be a more supportive environment for women. I have worked for several tech companies in Silicon Valley and this has hands down been my best experience. They go above and beyond for all their employees and truly are setting the standard for what employee engagement and treatment should look like. I love it here!

Gusto is hands-down the most inclusive company I’ve worked at. The hiring processes is rigorous, but they care a lot about aligned values and motivations, so everyone who works here cares about the company, product, and people. Gusto lives by it’s values through and through, and treats their employees with respect. It’s a wild ride, as any start-up is, but it’s a company I can get behind and I know will have my back.

Gusto is my favorite tech company I’ve ever worked for. I was on the sales team in 2015-2016, and the best part of the company was definitely the culture. As a woman, the thing that stood out to me the most was the fact that this company does NOT have the dreaded bro culture that so often accompanies organizations of its size. I always felt respected, safe, and heard. I was confident that my ideas would be weighted just as heavily as any man’s, and there were some really smart women in leadership and high-level positions. I think the key to all of this is the company’s strong founding team. Both Josh and Tomer are the opposite of the stereotypical “CE-Bro”, and they are incredibly intelligent, kind and down to earth. I have nothing but positive things to say about Gusto and their systemically positive culture of respect.
