I’ve worked here for 12+ years, started as software engineer and moved into management. The people are talented, passionate and fun. Work is challenging, environment is awesome and leadership has always been supportive. It can get stressful at times, having fantastic gym facilities onsite helps when you need to blow off some steam and refocus. Base salary is good but not as high as say, Amazon, however if factoring in annual bonus (have been pretty sizeable every year) it gets closer. While a lot of people associate “lots of OT” when they think of EA, it really isn’t like that in my experience. I’ve really enjoyed growing my career here and would love to see more women consider joining us.

I was hired as a freelancer for a a few months. I was working remotely on a short project and meeting the team once a week for briefing and reviews. I thought that communication within the team was pretty good and work was well organized.

I worked 6 years at EA and was a good learning and great ambiance.
I was promoted two times the first 3 years then I had no more opportunities to grow up. But I really liked the culture and the people. EA is a big family supportive. I had a wonderful experience and great memories.

I worked for EA 6 years ago in the tax department. The role I had was split in two with executive favouring the other incumbent. They were not supportive of my mental health issues and actually rated me below average in an annual review due to absence. In the end they consolidated the roles and I was made redundant. I hot the feeling if your face fits then you were ok but didn’t support forward thinking unless they wanted you to do well. Would I recommend not really

I worked for Electronic arts 9 years ago, so my point of view may be out dated. I remember there being a lot of talented people on the team, and the projects were fun, but I don’t remember there being enough opportunity for career advancement. I was asked to be a lead in action but with out the title or pay raise, which I guess I resented a bit. I appreciated the experience I got, but I have since left the games industry and entered another part of the computer arts field and I’ve experienced a lot more career advancement and more equal pay. As I said, my experience with the company was a while ago. I will say that back in the day I received a bonuses when one of our projects and that was really great, as well as the stock options, but as far as career advancement, I felt that I stagnated. I think if I were to re enter the company I would be coming in as a higher level artist, and my experience would definitely be different. That being said, the work environment was fun and I enjoyed the company culture.
