As a working mom going through 2nd pregnancy with Athena, I absolutely love how supportive the company and my immediate teams are. We have 3 months maternity leave (I took a sabbatical on top of it last time, totaling 5 months spent with my daughter) and a slightly smaller 6 weeks paternity / adoption leave. My immediate manager is incredibly helpful and offered me an amazing opportunity this time around (transitioning to a manager role from a software developer) knowing full well I’m pregnant.
The vacation / sick days / work from home options are nice, problems we’re trying to solve are a good challenge, and the mission to help doctors deliver best care for patients is noble. If you’re curios what makes solving healthcare so complex, this is a great place to learn and contribute. I’ve been with the company for 9 years now and have not run out of exciting projects to tackle.
