I worked there many years ago (somewhat at the tail end of the AskJeeves era, way before IAC came into the picture). They gave me a great start in IT, and I was able to advance and move to a couple of other positions during my 5 years there.

I loved all the people I worked with, my team and manager were flexible long before ‘working from home’ was an acceptable norm and I was able to complete a semester of school I needed to graduate due to their support.

Of course, I am not quite sure what the culture is like now since the company has transitioned so much since, but I really have nothing but good memories and would for sure work there again someday.

I loved my time at Ask.com. My position allowed me a lot of freedom with my work schedule and they were always very supportive. There was no real path to advancement in my particular position, as our department was cut, but I would absolutely work for Ask.com again.

Great peers, compensation package, and work/life balance. Very supportive of family life and needs. I wouldn’t say leadership is particularly open to new ideas or challenges to the status quo, but it’s a great place to work if you have a family or outside interests.

Best place I’ve ever worked in the Bay Area. Definitely miss the great people and the work / life balance.
